I've looked at videos on Youtube of people using the Blackvue 900 and I could not read the licence plate either. I find that hard to believe with a 4K UHD system.

Ummmm... Don't forget that the 3840x2160 video from the Blackvue was downsampled by a factor of 4 and then further compressed by YouTube. YouTube compresses all uploaded videos. The raw video should look much better.
