When I did pick a dash cam for my wife's van, I found this guy's videos and website to be extremely helpful! https://carcamcentral.com/guide/best...-boxes-of-2019

I'm 100% supportive of dashcams for the reasons stated above, and will be installing a Blackvue DR900S-2CH front/rear cam in my upcoming GT3 daily driver.

Decided to move forward. Will be installing a BlackVue 900 2 Channel system. Seems the best option.

When time permits and other must haves for the cars are done, then I'll be getting Blackvue DR900S-2CH front/rear cam for my 991.1 and my wifes Cayman R

Abstain. Have it on wife's car. Don't see a need on my 911

After a 17 year old girl swung two lanes wide and plowed into the side of my 911 with her Kia sedan, totalling my car....I now have a front/rear dashcam in my new 911. Although the police found her at fault in the accident, I am not taking chances if it happens again.

Don't have them in my other cars...maybe down the road I will add a dashcam to them.

Too many accident scammers nowadays, not taking a risk. Rather have evidence during an accident, some cop trying to F with you or neighbors kid hitting your car.

I had a cheaper Blackvue, good for basic stuff but you couldn't read license plates. Now I have a Rexing with super-high res and rear camera, but it's HUGE and does some weird stuff, so I wouldn't recommend it.

I was in an accident years ago where a guy turned left on red in front of me. I T-boned him, totaling both cars. The cop and insurance adjuster both said "he said/she said" on who had the light, but fortunately there was a car next to me, and he stayed as a witness so I won that one. That's the best argument for a dash cam, because most people these days don't stick around.

I told my wife that if I ever got into an accident and it looked like I was at fault (assuming that I was indisposed, etc.) she was to rip the camera from the car and hide it.

I have a lot of cams mostly for motorcycle use, but not in the 911 as it could possibly be very incriminating......

A lot of service dealer joy rides have been caught because of dash cam. Same for parking valets, not that I would ever valet my car, but for those who do, you now got the evidence if they do.

I run a RoadHawk HD. Front camera only but also great for track when combined with Race Render. Inexpensive.

personal experience in all those examples which is why I'm highly thinking of getting them.
