I deleted the Targa 4 GTS lettering and replaced with just 911 and PORSCHE above it to keep things simple. See below

I left the whole shabang on mine since I actually like it, and it saves me from telling people what it is all of the time.

A new development. Thoughts on the sport tex interior? Allows the black brushed alum trim to stay (matches roll bar), and allows for deviated stitching, but saves almost $5k compared to GTS interior pack. Maybe sport tex + add red gauges is the way to go, rather than the heavily accented red with the GTS pack?

Cloth seats in a new Porsche? Cannot beat all leather but choices are available to make it your own.

I’m not a fan, but othes are. That’s why Porsche encourages bespoke configurations. Chose what turns you on. Only word of caution would be to try to find one in the flesh to see if you like the way it feels and looks. I’d also ask your dealer what they think about impact on resale. You don’t see that interior much anywhere.

There is a red Targa S in the showroom in Halifax with that exact interior package. It is better than you would think! Sort of like old school with a modern twist.
If you would like pics, let me know.

you sure can! Just costs $$$$.

Was an option available for me (full leather interior) but I balked at the $4k price tag.....still wish I would’ve done it.

Are you sure? multifunction carbon fibre wheel shows as slightly larger diameter in the build options....

You are correct. The standard sport steering wheel is 360 mm in diameter and the carbon fiber sport steering wheel is 375 mm in diameter, for a total difference of 6/10th's of an inch. Or 14 inches vs. 14.7 inches. I'm not sure anyone would notice the difference, but who knows?

This is a very subjective decision. Don't look to the forums to make it for you. Personally I agree -- I'd go with the proper brushed aluminum, but with leather on the seats etc, with deviated stitching. If you do want some red on the gauges, I maintain that it belongs just on the sport chrono, and the primary gauges should remain black.

No matter what you pick, you and your pops are gonna love this thing; damn near impossible not to once you drive it. All the silly trim decisions will fade away.

If you happen to stop by there, I'd love to see some real photos of the interior. I'm in Ontario and haven't found any cars with sport tex in person locally, so that would actually be a big help!

I appreciate the insight, and you're probably right. Definitely hard not to get caught up in the option craze though... a good problem to have!

Delete PDK. Automatic transmissions are for minivans.

Here is the Targa S in showroom in Halifax in Guards Red. Not Carmine; but it is still pretty amazing in person. The interior is leather except for the places you would normally see the Alcantara on the GTS. There is deviated stitching on the seats, console, doors, rear seats and dash (same as full deviating stitching option including console and doors). The inserts are a material that gives you both grip and ease of maintenance. It certainly doesn't make the inside feel cheap at all. I have full leather with deviated stitching, however this interior... it is just smart!! I am really, really impressed. Brad is the expert there and described it as a well kept Porsche secret.
