Default 2015 991.1 CPO/Factory warranty coverage....

My F-runk lid closes slightly enough to bump me in the head each time I use it. Are the gas shocks covered by CPO? I believe the factory warranty ends in February of this year and the CPO starts then. Please correct me if I’m mistaken. Should I prep my check book for this repair ?

Should be covered. I would take it in and ask. If they say no, you could always opt to do it yourself.

Thanks for the info, I have the same issue, especially now that it’s cold.

Just a quick update the dealer stated they couldn’t provide enough video evidence that the frunk shocks were defective and therefore a warranty request would not be approved. I then paid for both parts and larbor and the weak hood is no longer hitting my head during loading anything up front. Wish I lived closer to the dealer I purchased the vehicle. My local dealer is 15 minutes away and haven’t been very helpful with much, the dealer I purchased from is about 3 hours out. I expected a little bit better treatment from a Porsche dealer but then again I didn’t purchase from them so I’m not surprised.

And by treating you like that, you likely won’t buy from them in the future either. Very short sighted on their part..

I rarely buy from the nearest dealer, just like my Targa GTS, so when I take it to mine I will tell them that I just moved to the area and since they are the closest dealer to me I want to start having it serviced with them; it has usually resulted in top notch service.

That is the exact method that I have followed and have been neglected not once but twice by this dealer. They also sell Volvo which I purchased branded new in 2018. I brought it in for factory include maintenance and had to return to add more fluids to my washer tank. I mentioned it was low during the appointment and even mentioned I would pay for it to be filled. After this last event I will take my business elsewhere. I’ve been following the new about the cayenne coupe and hoped to make my next purchase through my local dealer but there is zero chance of that after this treatment.

I find it hard to believe that an AD cannot run the VIN and determine the POS for one of their auto. Porsche seems to be similar to Apple in that they track and maintain huge amounts of data on their customers.
I'm a new member, so I could be wrong.

best,

Great idea!!! I sent the dealer I purchased the vehicle from a meaage to explain what the pre-owned certification they advertised is supposed to cover. Hopefully it wasn’t an “at this dealer only” coverage plan. I would accept full responsibility should I have missed that in the fine print of the purchase contract. Fingers crossed
