Default Bumperplugs picture on a white 991?

So just picked up my new-to-me 991.1S and it has a front plate mounted. Four holes directly through the front bumper.

I realize bumperplugs.com is a solution -- anyone have a pic of a white 991 with 4 bumperplugs in the front? Just want to see how it'd look.

For some reason I thought it would be mounted with only 2 screws, not 4! I actually don't mind the plate too much as it provides a little extra protection from people who park by braille.

Previous generation 993s came from the factory with two plugs which look acceptable IMO. Not sure if 4 would work ! At this point I would buy a nice set of frames and call it a day.

I would look into having a mobile bumper repair guy come out and fill and paint the area. A good bumper repair guy can do wonders. Since it is on plastic it is easy to do.

Had the same exact thing on mine when I pulled the plate.
The PO had the bumper resprayed 6 months ago then drilled 4 holes in it.

How do you like your laser set up?

I think the front bumper is wrapped with a protective film though as well. I'll look more closely tonight when I get home.

As for the radar / laser. I've never owned a car with a system like that before and certainly not one with a built in system. It seems pretty neat but I'm still learning how to use it. Goes off a lot around town randomly.

radar may be responding to automatic door openers in malls or blind spot monitoring system in cars, especially hondas and caddies. You may need to adjust - if it is adjustable. Really depends on what system you have. If it is a K40, you are better off just ripping it out.

It's a Passport 9500ci with custom install, again I'm new to that stuff so no idea if it's good but the previous owner said it was expensive.

Get the plugs and no one will notice, and they will look like extra sensors (kind of). Google "porsche bumper plugs" and click on "images" and you can get an idea of what they will look like. Anything is better than a front plate on a Porsche...I would stick a Christmas Wreath on mine before I would put a front plate on (and I hate Christmas).

The Escorts are decent units, but that model is little dated now. While there are better units out there now, if you learn the ins and outs of the Escort, I think you will be fine. Search the internet for info.
