Silly question in refusing.
I've only had to put gas in my car twice, but both times the pump kept shutting off. The over fill function on the pump keeps stopping the pump. I tried feathering the flow and it sounds like gas it bubbling up to set it off. It takes me 5 minutes to get 5 gallons in.
Two different gas stations BTW.
Needless to say, I've been putting gas in cars for 40 years including a 996.
Some odd user error mot trick I'm not aware of?

Shouldn't be any trick to it. Maybe something wrong with your vent system?
There was a thread in the last couple months where someones car would not take gas and they had to replace something internally in the tank I think. Cant remember the fine details.

Many new cars have the same problem, you'll notice this occurs at some gas stations and not others. I'm currently experiencing the exact issue with two other non Porsche vehicles and just flip nozzle upside down as shown in video, no big deal.

ive experienced that many times on several cars, not just the P. its not the car, its the nozzle at the pump. sometimes i just adjust the nozzle not so far in and angle more downward. other times the nozzel upside down. its the air pollution standards at fuel pumps that requires a certain amount of nozzel to filler sealing. can be a little annoying, it not juat your car.

Now that the OP question has been clearly answered, I’ll ask another fuel related question rather than starting a separate thread. My new 991.2 is only a few short weeks away and I’m curious if whether or not there’s a bit of room for more gas after the nozzle first clicks off when filling or am I going to end up spilling fuel when attempting to squeeze in another 1/8 of a gallon? A few of my cars have no issue however, one seems to have little to no more room once the initial shut off is reached.
