Clunking sound/feel when reversing.
It's pretty cold in Northern Virginia. When reversing out of my driveway when the car is cold I've noticed a clunking sound. Kind of grabbing.Feels like I've got a flat. I think it's just really cold tires.

I know it's always coming, and still find it disconcerting. It's like a wheel is falling off. Check your tire pressures, too. A couple extra PSI helps to reduce it a little.

Reason #1,329,558 for why I’m loving this forum. I’m having the same issue with my recently acquired ‘04 CS4 and knew I’d find the answer here. Thanks, guys! I thought my front end suspension was shot with all the front end clunking noises in reverse while turning the wheel. Who knew cold weather would cause this?! Winter ops in Northern Ohio...
