Default Black eyes, PPF, & Tint...Cera coat too

My baby just got back from getting PPF'd, tinted, and Ceramic coated the entire car. I went with Xpel Ultimate Plus clear bra (entire front-hood, bumper, fenders, headlights & side view mirrors; side skirts, front and rear of the the rear wheel well...what ever those areas are called--removed the factory bra) and XR ceramic tint (all 6 windows-yes, front windshield as well). All I can say is wow....the shop did outstanding work! For y'all O.C. & SoCal folks, if you're looking to get this done, I know a great shop! To top things off, they have the best prices in town. I didn't get the LED Headlights in Black package (no regrets) but I do like the "black eyes" so I asked the shop to make it happen. Voila, the installer did outstanding work on this as well! Satin black looks perfect. The installer is also a graphic designer and does wraps for commercial vehicles and buildings. I saw his work beforehand and was immediately sold.

Could you elaborate on what was done to the headlights. They look awesome.

You have good taste. Congrats.

The installer fabricated a template of the headlight, specifically the existing gray outer ring, and laid a satin black film over it (after he wrapped the headlights with PPF). If you search online, a company sells similar rings for around $80 for DIYers.

The headlight surround trim looks great. I also opted to go w/the GTS's default Bi-Xenon lights on my GT-Silver (due in early March). But when I go for PPF, I might see if they can do my trim similarly to what you did w/yours.

I have a hard time forking over $2,770 for LED lights on a 6 figure car when they are standard features on much less expensive cars. $5,300 for Burmester....well, that’s a no brainer. Having said this, I prefer LEDs over Bi-Xenons because they are a bit “whiter”. Now, I don’t mind the Bi-Xenons and am mostly content with them but Porsche needs to get with the times. Bi-Xenons are just good enough and I have no regrets, especially now.

I'm having PPF installed on the 18th and never thought of doing the headlights, thanks for the idea. I'm going to inquire tomorrow by phone before the install. Ralph

I recommend ordering the "metallic black" headlight trim from KI Studios as it is the closest match to the oem black trim on leds.

I would still need someone to do the install. I’m so bad I would screw up just trying to stick a post it note to a wall.
