Nope, zero distractions. I see everything. Pictures are deceiving - it is not as low as it looks in the pics, and if you wanted, you can adjust it higher to touch the bottom of the mirror.

I'm sure the Blendmount guys can hook you up with a solution. They purposefully design the parts to keep the detector as close to the mirror as possible. I'm confident they already have a longer rectangular piece designed for a lower hanging mirror on another car type that will give you the clearance you desire.
