Default Congratulations on your first Porsche!

I also aspired to owning a Porsche for most of my adult life and finally was able to pull the trigger around Thanksgiving on my new Carrera T.

Since then I have gone crazy buying Porsche stuff and nesting. It feels special every morning when the car rumbles to life before my commute to work.

If I hadn’t bought my T, I would have gone with the exact color combo you have. The Sapphire Blue with silver wheels and chrome exhaust and lettering is stunning. And the beige interior looks sweet with the blue exterior. Congratulations again!

Congrats to all new Porsche owners. They’re all a thing of beauty for sure! I too am a new-to-Porsche owner. Mine arrived two days ago and no words could describe how happy I am. Hope you all enjoy your 911 in good health and be sure to drive them like you stole ‘em.

Why did you select the S model over the others? I ask everyone this...just curious.
Dkk16, I chose the S model over the others because to me it was the sweet spot between value and performance. I would have loved to get a GTS, but I had a price cap of $75k which put those out of reach for me. However, after driving the standard Carrera and the S, I could tell a little bit of a difference between the two. I'd have been happy with either, but the S is "just a little more" of the same great thing.

Awesome GTS! I was originally looking for a 997GTS, but couldn't find any close enough to try out. Maybe a future car someday!

this thread reminds me of a funny quote I heard once.

"money can't buy happiness but it can buy a porsche 911, which is the same thing"

I had a 2014 911S cabriolet and loved it. It's a lot of fun to drive and reasonable practical too. How many other true sports cars can comfortably hold a wife and baby! Congratulations.

I got my 2017 C2S back in March after a lifetime of wanting a 911. It's my first Porsche and an incredible experience. I'm looking forward to many miles in this beauty!

Great color combo! We are probably shopping and bidding on some of the same cars as blue / tan was one of my top choices. Where did you find this one? I feel like I probably looked at it (online) if it was listed on any of the major sites.

Congratulations! I just bought my first Porsche this week too, not going to pick it up until after Xmas though.

Lots of cool stories in here. I too am a new Porsche owner. I had a 911 poster on my wall much of my childhood, and I bought a 991 C2 a month ago. It’s so much fun and incredibly rewarding. Enjoy the hell out that sweet ride!

i bought a base instead of the S... base runs to way over the speed limit in second gear really fast... I couldn’t extract the performance from an S on the street.

And it was $20g cheaper, give or take.

Vincenz0, I found it near Charlotte, NC at a Nissan dealership. I love the blue and tan, but I was open to a wide range of colors. Pretty much anything except red and yellow.
