Every time I turn on my headlights, I hear a high pitch whine that stays on while the headlights are on. Has anyone else experienced this problem with their 911? Any idea what it might be? Please refer to the attached video. (The sound is much worse in person.)

Some background: I just bought this 2013 Carrera S used from a dealership. I did not notice this whining noise, because it only comes on when the headlights on and I purchased the vehicle in the daytime.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Couldn't hear a thing, could you hear it yourself in the recording?
Could be a noisy HID lamp? Get your ear close to the light.

I could hear it in the recording, just need to higher the volume. Sorry it's tough to capture the whine.
I listened around the HID lamp and didn't hear it. Seems to be somewhere on my dashboard or near the button for the headlight.

Every HID lamp's ballast makes a buzzing/whining sound when fired up. Usually it can only be heard when the engine isn't running. Most aren't that bad, but some can be very loud. I've found it most noticeable on vehicles after they are turned off, and the lights are winding down. The current 911 has LEDs, but my GMC has HID lamps, and it is pretty noticeable right after turning the vehicle off.

Are you sure you aren't hearing the whine through your radio?? Worth turning the volume off to see. Might help diagnose.

I turn the left radio **** clockwise for that. 😇
