celebrating the 991

If you can add a GT3 in the garage without a doubt I would highly recommend it, but I wouldn't be so quick to replace a 991 T (or Carrera/GTS/etc)... The GT stuff is great as an "GT addict" now, but I spent some time as a "lowly 991 owner" before taking delivery of my GT3 and the 991 Carreras are vastly underrated for how good they truly are. I should have spent more time just enjoying my C4 rather than lusting after the GT3, because even now when I hop in the C4 it's a blast and just does everything so well. The ultimate Swiss army knife, I take it out worry free and it can handle anything and everything. GT3, more of a focused and laser sharp scalpel. Better in some circumstances, but not as great in others...note how many GT3s we see for sale with delivery miles, anecdotally I bet more than 1 is being resold because more it was more hype than substance for the owner's intended use FWIW.

The design of the 991 is one of the best that Porsche has produced yet. I agree that the 997 was an improvement over the 996, but I find the 991 design to be better than the 997 in every way. I'm looking forward to seeing my 991 next to a 992 for comparison.

GT3 would probably not be as good a daily driver as my T.
Sadly, over here in the U.K., so many of the GT cars seem to be bought as investments, as buyers know they can flip them immediately for a very easy and big profit.

Went from 997 to a 991.1. Love(d) both in their own way. Not sure how Porsche will entice me toward a 992. I'm always surprised by how few people are on the 992 chat here.

I definitely have something with the 991.1/2 cars that was not present with the 997s (however I had a couple 997's and LOVED them). Whoever mentioned "perfect inside and out" I think nailed it on the head...the exterior is really, really stunning and the first time Porsche went with sleek vs the normal "porsche proportions" for the rear (which are obviously still awesome and classic Porsche) which really brought them up into the more exotic car aesthetic vs being the counter culture sports car, even if the nuancing was subtle.

C4 was a 2 year cash lease daily driver and its time is up soon sadly. Was thinking about buying the car out at lease expiration but expanded search for 991.1 TurboS. Came across this and just had to have it, will be my daily driver like the C4 was
re 992 chat I think once cars start hitting dealerships and people start taking delivery there will be more activity, just a function of time. Hope the 992 does well because I love the company but I just find it to be too Panamera-ish for my taste right now
