Default X51 or Aftermarket tune impact on PDK reliability

I’m thinking of adding X51 or an aftermarket tune to my 991.2 C2S.
I’m not sure wether the S & GTS share the same PDK so I was wondering whether the added HP/torque will impact the reliability of the PDK long term.

I appreciate any insights you have on this.

X51 Power Kit absolutely no problem.

Tuning. Reliable tuner not over done also shouldn't be a problem. I have tuned 3 different Porsche TT cars with no problems but I wasn't looking for 800+ hp. I have Cobb in my TTS.

No problem whatsoever - but please note those using non- Porsche based aftermarket tuning for the base/S/GTS the tech manual states the gearbox is rated to 550Nm torque.......................

Do you have a source/link for this info?
550Nm is stock 991.2 GTS (on paper) but the car shows more than 600Nm on dyno.

Thanks.
So based on the above table, adding X51 puts the torque at the max of the transmission capacity. Any tuming beyond that will likely exceed the limit and risk PDK failure.

Am I interpreting this correctly?

Yes - the table is from the Porsche 991 Series 2 technical manual. Porsche is clearly stating a threshold. Thus if you choose to go beyond that threshold by adding, for example, a Cobb tune then it's likely if you have a PDK failure a warranty claim will be denied.

A dealer installed X51 PowerKit will be fully covered under the 4 year new car warranty or 6 year CPO warranty. The Carrera PDK might be good beyond the X51 Power and torque, but the jury is still out on that. I'm going to give mine most of the its 4 year warranty and then see how the drivetrains are faring with tuning and lots of track days. Then I'll decide whether to do that or not...
