Passenger window slightly open...sometimes
Every once in a while I'll hop in my car and get going only to hear a wind whistle from the passenger side of the car. Turns out my passenger window is just slightly open. Roll it back up and the whistle goes away.
Happens every few weeks.
Is my battery going? Other thoughts?
Thanks in advance!

Normal. Exercising the seals. Your wipers do it too.
Oops. I read too fast. Could be the Microswitch in the door handle. I remember seeing old posts about this in the past. Need to search.

Mine does it too. I notice it when I use the defroster. It seems to occur when the windows crack for ingress then it doesn't return to the full up position after.

Had this same problem. Squeal from the passenger side window sometimes on the road when it did not return to the fully up position. Tried lubricating the window seals. No help. Drove it to the dealer with the window squealing. Dealer fixed it - I believe he put in a new window motor.

Sometimes this works:
Perform the following steps for all windows:
- Close the window completely once by pulling the rocker switch to the second setting.
- When the window is completely closed, briefly pull the rocker switch to the second setting again.
- Completely open the window once by pressing the switch.

My car did this once last week, the passenger window was slightly down and I didn't know until I heard wind noise while driving. Adds character, perhaps?

This is also happening to me on my 991.1 2014 C2S. The shop couldn’t find any faults. However my battery is showing signs of issues and I wonder if that could be related.
I will update if they figure it out.

FWIW this happened to me as well, and the above fix seems to have permanently sorted it. In my case, it started happening after I had the door panels off for installation of the Musicar system. After the fix no more problems!

This has been happening to me for years. Even had a window motor replaced under warranty. The dealer allegedly reset it and it still wasn't right. Guess I'll try the steps above to see if the "speed whistle" is gone.

Unfortunately the reset didn’t work for me either. However my auto stop/start feature has stopped working which apparently is a sign that the battery is going. I wonder if some component somewhere isn’t getting reliable voltage especially on a cold morning. I’m going to see if it goes away after replacing my battery.
