Passenger window slightly open...sometimes
I have looked at the thread previously but I was told by my local shop (RMG - real mean garage, recommended here) that because of the auto stop/start feature the serial of the new battery needs to be entered into the computer. They said it’s fine if I replace the battery myself but to take a photo of the battery serial number first and come in in order to program the auto start/stop feature. This raises obvious concerns around using aftermarket battery. But the whole thing sounds suspicious to me. Not sure how a battery serial number could matter at all.
I have a similar problem on my rear 1/4 window passenger side which is stuck in the window-down position. All other windows are working great. Any suggestions:
1. I am trying to take out the regulator and window to see if the cable busted or the motor died.
2. I replaced the other side 2 years ago for a self-inflicted mess up, now I cannot find the window specialist in Los Angeles area.....thought he was called Window Doctor or WindowRX.....Anyone know of any specialists?
