I guess I saw my car in the right light today and noticed that the driver's side hood hinge appears to be misaligned.

Can you guys comment on the photos attached ?

What would cause this? There are no accidents or accidental bumper hits or anything like that.

Is this adjustable ?

 

Doesn't look right to me at all.

 

My hood at the bottom, where the Porsche crest is also misaligned.

That is, when closes the hood sits below the bumper.

Anyone else have this ? Pictures to follow tomorrow.

 

Your third picture shows a trim piece that covers the hinge area. The gaps there appear to be normal. The hood itself may be slightly out of alignment. This can be adjusted. But, does it bother you enough to have some ham fisted mechanic adjust it - just sayin'.

 

My dealer has always been able to make small adjustments and they come out just fine. Maybe the ham fisted guy was off that day. I ask them about it and let them know that if it is going to open a can of worms just leave it alone.
