A little confused...

OP, I understand that you're confused and trying to find some advice from the group... but, in a decision like this it all comes down to what YOU want. None of us can make that decision for you.
There will always be another car. Another deal. Another MacGuffin that piques the interest for whatever reason. You just have to figure out if this is what YOU want.
Personally, the low mileage 2016 GTS that you already love sounds amazing. But, if $30k isn't that much to you to upgrade to slightly more amazing, then maybe it's worth it. It might sound cheesy, but the best advice that I can give is to make an old-fashioned pro/con list for the whole thing. Actually write it out. Pen and paper. Cross through things as they cancel each other out in terms of worth/value, and when you're left with the things that aren't quantifiable like that, you have your short list. If that short list justifies $30k, then make the move. Otherwise don't.
You essentially have a win/win situation. Keep a great car, or buy a great car...
Either way, no one on the forum is going to give you the silver bullet advice that will make the decision simpler than that... But, if it's really tearing you up and you need to offload some of the stress of flipping the coin, I'll make the decision for you for $10k.

I think it would be cool if everyone from the other two threads copied and pasted their posts here

Nope. For that money or a bit more go grab a GT3.

How long have you had the 991.1? Is it a change just to change (there’s nothing wrong with that by the way)?
If you’re in the mood for something new, and $30k isn’t a big deal for you, do it! I doubt you’d regret it.

Do you prefer for daily driving low-end torque or higher rpm with linear acceleration? Or do you prefer newer technologies in 991.2, such as Car Play with Waze? While the 0-60 mph acceleration time difference is 0.4-0.5 sec, anything < 4 sec is fast enough for street use. I can't even use full throttle unless the local speed limit is 55 mph. Personally, I wouldn't do it, but if the new 991.2 GTS makes you much happier due to its improved driving dynamics, why not?

My view is that if you havent heard the advice you are looking for in three threads worth of posts, then its likely you arent ready to do it. Save your cash. When you are inspired enough the decision will be easier, then you should pounce.

No one needs a sports car, so we're all a bit irrational in some respect.
Three threads is more irrational, though.

Well, 30,000 grand is a lot for me and that is why I am trying to get advice. Yes, I have have had 3 different threads because each time I have gotten seriously closer to pulling the trigger. Unfortunately, my wife who is my sounding board other then this forum, says no. She loves my car and see no sense in the upgrade...

Perhaps the indecision may be a clue here. Are you a perfectionist? Do you need to do things in ritualistic fashion ?
Just buy the 991.2 and give the old car to your wife. That way you can have your cake and eat it too.
Otherwise take more prozac.
