Price Check on Service
Do these service costs seem like a lot to anyone? Wanted to see what everyone has been paying on this stuff. This dealer has always seemed reasonable to me in the past, but I figured I might as well ask around.
$650 for intermediate service
$259 for brake fluid change
$550 for drive belt replacement (maximum)
$279 for alignment

Those all appear within range. But what's included in the intermediate service?
Do the belt at the 40K service. It might be less, since they are in there and the bumper cover already off.

The intermediate service I believe is an oil change, all the fluids (not PDK) changed & the pollen filters. That part seemed high to me.

Agree that the prices are in the expected range since the intermediate part probably includes the oil, the cabin filters, the general inspection, and the (ahem) complimentary car wash. There is no "all the fluids" though. The PDCC fluid isn't until 6 years, the antifreeze is permanent, and the PDK is still a long ways to go. Brake fluid is covered elsewhere. Windshield washer fluid should be gratis of course.

I assume they are dealer prices vice Indy?

dealer vs indy
I would never use the dealer vs indy unless I had some sort of cupoun. Find a buddy with a lift the oil change takes 20 minutes and a monkey could do it (ie. It presented me no difficulty).

Seems quite a bit lower than the local dealers by me in NY.
I started doing general maintenance myself and 991's are pretty easy and fun to work on. Changed the air filter today by pulling bumper off (about 30 T25/T30's) and did oil last month - simple as any other car.
Actually very interesting but I went to a guy who does track cars/911's for about 120 and apparently Porsche must align it with weight inside the car because as soon as he had me sit in the driver's seat, both front wheels went from a little in the red to completely even. I don't think dealers will generally do this.

There's a "special" at my dealer, probably others too, for a $300 oil maintenance which includes the usual inspection / fluids top up (probably because that is the local indy price). What is an "intermediate service"? All the 20k, 40k.... vary in content a lot.

991's need pretty minimal maintenance as far as mechanical cars go. A lot of the added cost in dealer "service" packages are changing filters, wipers, and inspection.
Outer cabin filter should be changed every year (located in the frunk) for about 18 bucks individually from suncoastparts. Inner filter is a bit more high tech with activated carbon (absorbs odors from outside and provides extra level of filtering) - it generally stays clean as it's protected by the outer so I do it every 2.
1 year / 10k - change oil
2 years - brake fluid, engine air filter every 8-12k
4 years / 40k - spark plugs
6 years / 60k - drive belt
As the guys mentioned above, PDK/manual trans fluid and coolant shouldn't even be a concern unless you somehow have over 120k on your 991. Check coolant every so often by opening cap and look at the little floaty level indicator (it will boil over if the engine is remotely hot so be make sure it's cold) - Add distilled water with proper fluid from the parts desk and you're good to go.
That's pretty much it!
Cheers

Your best bet is to contact Launch in China and inquire. When I bought the device, I had to update it twice to even get 991 support since it was on an older firmware version.
