Last orders before 992 production starts...
I had not planned to get a new car but I am now considering a 991.2 (perhaps a T) to replace my current 997 Turbo after driving a 991.2 C2S. I generally buy used but I am not sure how easy it will be to find the car/build I want preowned in the future. Anyone have a good idea when 991.2 production will stop and orders close? The dealers I have talked to have not been particularly helpful so though maybe might find out more info here.

You may not be able to order after December, just check with your Dealers on allocations in pipeline. Its unlikely that Porsche will release 991.2 allocations in January or after. Even now there are no new allocations only whats in the pipeline.
that is why I picked the latest I could get. 4 dealers I spoke to had the same timeline and allocations
i didn’t want to miss out. Even though I didn’t really need a 3rd car for 2 years.
goodluck with your decision

My dealer told me on Friday that there are no more 991.2 S or Turbo allocations left. He said that there are a few 991.2 base and Turbo S allocations out there, but that’s it until the 992. I have an allocation for a 991.2 Carrera T that locks on Wednesday for early January delivery which I’m going to spec fairly heavily (which will get me into trouble with the T purists but that’s a conversation that’s already raging in a couple other threads) because I can’t get a 991.2 S allocation. I can be very happy with “just” 370hp and 331 torque for my daily driver.
BTW, my sales rep knows I’m only looking at coupes so I don’t know if my info above applies to Cabs or not.

My options on the T are $49k juat the way I like it
No PDK or Any Sunroof though. But a lot more
Make it the way ypu like it, only way to do a custom order. Its for you only

Any SA can tell you what allocations are available in the US. I asked my SA last week about Targa S allocations for a friend and he told me there were 4 left in the US, and he could get one if the person were serious; not many SAs will do that for someone but I guess you can say I have a good connection. If someone is interested in an allocation for any 911 variation drop me a PM and I will give you the contact information. Needless to say there are not many left to be had for the 991.2.

I would be curious to see what $49K in options looks like, especially without PDK and sunroof ... care to share a build code? (Not counting PDK, I've got a heavily loaded build and only came in around $34K in options.)

Just passing along my most up to date info. Email from my SA yesterday, three Carrera T allocations left. 1 December car, other two are March 2019 cars. Adamant that March will be the end. Come Q2 2019, 992 orders only (C2, T, S).

I picked up my 2019 Targa GTS today and my SA has 2 991.2 GTS Coupe Allocations, one is a C2 and the other a C4, with a discount for Rennlist members. Contact me if you need the details.
And no, 991.2 Targas will stop production for a while along with all the rest of the 991.2s, and it will probably be a couple years until you can get one.
