Also, I remember my very first Porsche, a 987 Boxster. In those days the base car came with white dials and the S with black. So, white not really exclusive.

I had white gauges in my 997.1TT, and I wasn't a huge fan. No glare issues or anything, just thought they looked kinda cheap and stark. The red gauges in my GT3 and GTS are awesome, though.

I ordered my GTS with racing yellow gauges. I saw them in a 911TT and thought they looked awesome. As the saying goes, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Interesting. I had (and loved) white in my 996 but they did not show all the warning icons.

turn indicators, high beam, cruise are all visible where as they are not on black.

Different era of 911.

White does look crisp. I just don’t like seeing the cutouts....minor in the grand scheme of course.

Here's what I mean by turning pink:
(Overcast with a light rain)
Lights off/on at 100% brightness

I ordered the factory white dials. I like them. No problems reading them. I also had the sport chrono clock done for symmetry.

Yuck! I have to try this on my white dials. I've never seen that before.

The Suncoast white dials are not OEM. I read somewhere, here or from reviews on Suncoast, that finding a garage to install these after market faces is a challenge. I do not believe Porsche will install them. To get OEM white dials requires installation of the entire gauge cluster, a $4,000 to $5,000 cost.

I had traditional black gauges on my 997.1 and now white on my 997.2. The white ones are way cooler. They have a really neat look during the day and at night look pretty much black. I expect the 991.x will look the same.

I'm glad my 13 CPO'ed C4S came with white faces. Gives it a great touch.

I would not have checked that box if I was to order a new car just to allow the budget to go a bit further on must have options.
