Default Can You Change The Turn Signal Blinker 3-Count?

This is a pretty small gripe, but I've always felt the 3 blink count of the small tap on the turn signal stalk was too short. I know that on some other cars, this feature can be set to either 3, 5, or even 7.

Does anyone know if the dealership (or anyone with access to a PIWIS) could change the 3 blink setting? (I've been through all of the in-car settings and manual, and can't find any way for individual owners to do it)

Not that I know of, but I wish you could.

Was super simple to set it to 5 on my BMW with the BimmerCode app. No such luck with Porsche, I'm afraid.

Need to change your blinker fluid. Different types of fluid blink at different rates.

But seriously welcome and for your 1st post we need to see your car...... We like pictures.

I've actually always loved the Blinker Fluid joke. One time many years ago, while washing our motorcycles over at a friend's house, his girlfriend got home and stormed past us, calling him some very choice words in the process. She had previously complained about her blinker speed to him and he had educated her about the fluid being low. Apparently, the guys at AutoZone got a solid laugh out of it roughly 15 minutes prior to her arrival at the house.

Thank you for the welcome. I just recently sold my Cayman 981 for my first 911 (a 2013 Agate Grey 991) and have yet to find a way to get the stupid grin off of my face. Far be it from me to disappoint the crowd, so here she is.

Lovely. The black stone guard complements the black wheels quite well.

Those black 19" wheels look right at home on your car.

Looks great.

BTW need to finish out your profile to add where you are located.

Thank you, sir. I actually painted them myself. I've always been a fan of dark rims on the right color car. My Cayman was white, so they really popped there, but I was pleasantly surprised at how well the black complimented the Agate Grey Metallic. I don't know if "stealthy" is the right word... it seems counterproductive on such a standout beauty as the 911 - But, I like it.

Interesting question. Never knew other cars allowed you to set the number of "blinks". Apparently many USA drivers have that customizable feature set to "zero blinks". Especially those farking Prius drivers.

As if LA driving is not dangerous enough, it is the exception rather than the rule for drivers to use their turn signals when changing lanes. I recall a 20 minute drive to work - yes, only 20 minutes...at 6:20 in the morning - when I had about 8-10 cars veer in front of me without signaling. Not one person used his/her turn signal. I guess I can't be surprised - LA is a lot like our President, me, me, me - so why would I expect drivers to show any courtesy? Okay, off the soap box and back to our regularly scheduled programming!

Porsches, not politics.

OP, on some GM SUV’s and trucks they recognize when a trailer is hooked up and double the 3 blinks to 6.

Maybe you could try towing something?

Yes, very nice--your "blacked out" components and wheels look great with the dark grey. IMO much better than all black cars.

I'd much prefer 5 blinks to the USA standard 3 blinks...

I believe the standard is 5 blinks in Europe and maybe some other areas.
