Thanks in advance.

Remove.
Send out for ceramic powder coating.
Reinstall.

Check out CCP Coatings in Detroit.

What is the advantage of ceramic powder coating? Other than looking really sharp.

On exhaust tips, mainly longevity. On other exhaust parts, you might see some thermal advantages, but not on just little'ol tips.

Gotcha. Was wondering if it made them easier to clean. I'd like that, and depending on the cost would consider doing it.

Not sure what would look best on my GT Metallic.

Very easy to clean. And because the surface is super slick and smooth, it almost repels dirt sticking to it.

Another advantage that I failed to mention is, on the rare occasion I encounter a 10/10 MILF. I tell them my exhaust tips are coated in ceramic just like the space shuttle. This seems to impress them, and makes up for the screeching brakes.

I hope that you don't use this as a conversation starter....

Hmmm. That black ceramic powder coat might fit perfectly given the black surround.

I had a motorcycle part powder coated locally about 18 years ago. Looks like that place is still around, and advertises both ceramic coating and powder coating. Waiting on them to call me back about a quote.

Mind sharing your cost and turnaround time?

I welded all of the seams on my tips and then blended them smooth to match the contours. My next step is to either polish them or have them coated. Either way they already look significantly better, are supper easy to clean, and very inexpensive to do. I also like the fact that they are still original equipment.
