2019 991.2 rev match bug (1st to 2nd)?

It’s almost like the car is trying to keep rev high to execute WOT upshift.
This just seems like incorrect behavior. :-(

I had some play time with my .2 C2S 7M today and found that mine acts like any other manual car I have driven...rpms drop at shift change both whether with my foot is in it or I am tooling around for groceries.

AlBinVA, thanks for checking. What year is your C2S 7M? Trying to narrow down and see if I can get closer to resolution.

I was told (at PEC Atlanta) that rev matching cannot be turned off independent of Sport and Sport Plus.
I think your car is fighting the good fight, and trying to reject rev matching!

Turn off PSM = No rev-match.

I have 1900 miles on my T and I haven't seen anything like this with the rev matching.
I went out again just a few mins ago and tried to duplicate this in both Sport and Sport + and I can't duplicate it on my car.
Might want to run it by the dealership

I recently got my 2019 991.2 C2 GTS manual. I have driven about 1000 miles now. I’ve noticed a strange, bug-like behavior, of the rev match implementation. Previously, I experienced Porsche rev match implementation for 7 month with a 2017 718 Cayman S manual.
During 1st to 2nd upshift, instead of a natural drop of rpm, the throttle would blip to what would be a perfect shift back into 1st. This erroneous blip then adds additional time for rpm to drop in order to engage 2nd smoothly. This only happens in sport or sport+ mode and only for 1st to 2nd. It also doesn’t happen on light throttle application or extra slow (long duration) gear lever movement. In other words, it only happens if throttle opening is moderate+ and the shifter movement is relatively swift.
Has anyone experienced this symptom? Does anyone know what sensors are used for the rev matching implementation? It’s surprising to me that taking a longer time to shift cause this to not reproduce (but I suppose the ECU has timers). This is quite puzzling to me and I’m seeking the wisdom of the amazing experts on this forum. Unless I get lucky to connect with a great technician at the dealership, I doubt it’ll be straightforward to get this resolved by my local Porsche dealership.

Also, with PSM off, this also doesn’t happen. I’m pretty confident that this is unintended behavior.

Was told by service manager who owns a manual 991.2 this is part of the rev match program. I also notice it doesnt happen if you take your foot off the throttle a split second before depressing the clutch? Why would anyone wanna do this in a sports car?

Part of the rev match program? How sad, if true. I’d say part of a buggy program if that’s the case. I’ll be contacting a dealership to see if I can get this resolved.
