Default What's going on here??

This just popped up last night. Any ideas whats going on? 2012.5 CS I checked coolant level, and all is good, no coolant puddles under the car. I'll take it to my local indy guy for a read out tomorrow, but just curious in the meantime? Thanks!!

I got this once too. It’s not _really_ a cooling fault. It’s a changeover valve failure.

There are like 8 of them - it could be any one of them. For me it was the one for the sound symposer.

Is there a way to figure out COV is bad?

Yup. You get the coolant warning when your coolant is fine.

Im serious. I told my dealer that I thought my COV operating the sound symposer was bad and his first question was “is your coolant warning on?”

Any other way to pinpoint a bad COV, besides the Stealership?

You know there is a TSB on coolant reservoirs and sensors? Lots of threads here, so check that out.

Is this something a Durametric would pinpoint? ie identify which COV is defective?

I'm a little vague on the TSB, spiderv6, but i'm out of warranty anyway. I'm waiting for a opening at my indy shop. I've searched the COV threads here (as they seem to be an issue), I'll try a coolant reservoirs/sensors search next. Thanks for the help/advise.

Finally an up-date! It was a COV issue, but not a COV fault (yet). One of the PSE vacuum tubes popped out of it's fitting on the valve assmbly.. Funny how a detached vacuum tube for the PSE would trigger a cooling system fault. Anyway, all is well, for now, and I at least know where a couple of the failure prone COV's are located.
