I have been storing my 991.1 for the past 5 winters with the battery removed.( No electrical outlet in storage unit) . No issues when reconnecting, just have to reset the end points of the windows. My 2013 Owners Manual has a section with instructions of what has to be done after a battery reconnect. As per the instructions I rotate the steering wheel back and forth but never had to reset sunroof or TPMS even though it mentions those items in manual. I do make sure my battery is fully charged before reinstalling in the spring.

Perfect. Your post was just what I was looking for.

My owner’s manual describes things similar, but seemed to imply short-term power loss. (ie battery replacement)

What didn’t seem clear was if this was different for a long-term power-down.

Thanks!

No idea what that means but I love living in Florida as well. Granted the roads are not like the ones in S. MD and N. VA, where I lived 13 years ago, but being able to walk out the door and be on the beach in less than a minute makes up for it. And once you get inland there are some nice back roads to open it up.

If car is stored outside could even place it on top of the car cover.
I just ordered the 15w battery tender. I'll let you know how it's working in a month or so.
