Default Would this Carfax/ownership history scare you off?

2013 911 Carrera 4S

34K miles

Carfax here.

Cars.com listing here.

Interestingly, the car was once listed by EuroClassics on Rennlist.

The car ticks almost all my boxes. I don't like that a prior owner put stickers on it and changed out the rear badging, let alone with the gaudy red S. Also don't like that the dealership has told me they won't CPO it. Then there is the ownership history. Seems like it has been passed around between dealerships lately with no sales to an individual. Wondering if that means problems.

Can get a PPI, of course, but the more I think about it the more this one isn't sitting just right with me.

Thoughts?

It would be a non-starter for me, along w/relatively high miles. The mileage comment is probably CA-specific, but the price strikes me as high, too.

I paid $80k for an 8k mi 2013 C2S w/basically the same build. $124k MSRP last December. That was a one-owner CPO and is pristine.

Just my $0.02.

The miles don't bother me a bit. It's five years old. My 2015 BGTS is closing in on 50K miles and I'm going to pass that and keep going without a care in the world.

LOVE the Sport Techno wheels on your car, by the way.

Pass for me. I don't like the Carfax. The control module replaced at 3k miles and so many tire replacements!

OT but love the fact that you put 50 K miles on your BGTS.

Specifically why no CPO? Mileage and the ownership history shouldn't be a problem. A PPI would be essential.

Stickers can be removed and the Red S looks nice but that is a cheap fix...those should be the least of your worries with that car and I would keep looking.

I don’t see a problem. Looks like some tires ran over nails and need to be fixed. Maybe 7k over priced.

Four states in five years. Stickers and S bug you. Many, many nice cars out there. Go with your gut, which I think is saying "pass", and keep looking. I think you will know when you have found the right one, and this probably isn't it. I'm currently looking too, and know it can sometimes be hard to pass on a car and move on.Good luck and keep us posted.

I traded my 991.1 4S last year with 25k miles, Aerokit, entry and drive, Bose, seat vent/heat, etc... The dealer sold it in 1 week for $78. So 1 year newer at the time, a few less miles, CPO.
