Question RE 991.2 T
Anyone know when is porsche cutting off new build orders on the current 991.2s? Most interested in when they will stop the Targa's but I guess also interested in any available models.
Thx in advance.

There are still allocations that will build in the spring time (March/April) but I have not seen any further out than that. I know my SA is expecting another batch of allocations soon, which may be the last but no firm words on dates, models, etc.

I believe, based on my recent order, hunt and research.
around MarchApril will be the last 991.2 deliveries, so you may not be able to order in January or even before.
we should start seeing 992 on the roads around February/ March, especially in Europe.
already heard that very few C2S orders were changed to C4S.
first to go will be C2 and C2S, being replaced by 992 C2 and C2S
next will be C4/C4S and GTS and then T
they phase out as they come in, first come first to go. Porsche will overlap 991.2 and 992.
No dealer would gurantee me any allocation for after March delivery as I wanted as late a delivery as possible. So I took what I could get, guaranteed.
dealers told me I can put a deposite down and wait for a later allocation than March and see if Porsche will give out more allocations....unlikely though.

I talked to my SA today and he said that they already got their 991.2 allocations through the end of the year and does not expect so see a big bulk of them anymore, but maybe a few sprinkled here and there. For those here though that have talked to him lately he is still working on getting them via separate channels. He believes the first 992s will be available by the 2nd quarter (April/May) of 2019 but they could surprise us all and push it back.

Don't forget about the CARB and other emissions delays that plague ANY new car now...we are only about to get the first couple Cayennes this month, which marks an at least half a year to 8 month delay time, I'd expect nothing less for this new 992, so it's likely q4 2019 into early 2020 for the new one. So if someone wants a new car, this is going to be one of the last little times to pick one up!
