Default Stripe on PPF

My PPF covered hood was hit with something that left what I fear is a unremovable blemish that may be into the paint underneath.

I like the look of some of the stripes on some 991’s.
Will a stripe adhear well to PPF and if so, would it look decent? I mean not cheaply done.

Anyone ever done this?

Thank you

I have R stripes over my PPF with no problems.

To the OP, have you talked to whoever did the install to get their opinion?

Yes, I had my Endurance Racing Edition Stripes installed on top of my Suntek PPF. It doesn't look good the other way around.

I have my Porsche triple straight on top of my PPF. That is the way to do it. Put the stripe on before you put the ceramic coating over the entire car.

I’ve not yet talked with the installer but here is a photo.

Difficult to get is in focus. The initial impact is the lower right mark.

Can’t disagree but my previous AMG car had way less blemishes with twice the mileage.

Still have to drive it though.

A guess is the AMG was not as low in front as the 911. The lower the front end, the more road rash it will get. But it only takes one leaky gravel truck or dirty bulldozer on a trailer ahead of you to cause some visible damage. My 991.1 had 10k miles in 39 months when I traded it. The PPF on it certainly took some hits. My dealer removed the PPF, and detailed it. The paint looked brand new and it sold right away. This is why we use PPF.
I had Suntek PPF put on my new 991.2. The good news is it has a harder surface and will be more durable than the PPF film on my old one. It will look better longer.
Having said all this, todays PPFs can be occasionally buffed to make them look better again.
