Default 991.1 S to a 991.2 T?

Haven't seen any threads specifically around 991.1 S to 991.2 T comparisons (unless I missed it).

I've been thinking about moving to a 991.2. Was originally looking at a base or a GTS. But now have been getting somewhat obsessed with the T!

Who has gone from a 991.1 S to a 991.2 T - thoughts? Tell me why I need to do it!

I wouldn't. I doubt it would be faster.

It would for sure be faster in every real world scenario you can think of. I'd do it in a heartbeat.

someone drag race these two cars... instead of fighting based on feel or numbers..

otherwise, this war will never end...

if it is as fast or equal, I would go with whatever has better engine noise : )

I dare not drive one for the reason that I might like it better. Love my 991.1 S, going to stick with it long term!

I haven’t a clue which is faster and don’t care. The T is a lively and phenomenal 911 filled with awesome sound, fantastic performance and uniqueness. Can’t go wrong either way but try to test drive a T if you can find one nearby.

Huh? Objective evidence and extensive testing show that the base 991.2 Carrera is faster than the 991.1 S. But who cares about a couple of tenths of a second anyway? These cars were not built for drag racing. A Tesla can beat all of them until the first turn.....and I understand the exhaust note of the Tesla sucks too! lol.

I just realized OP said the .ONE ... that being the case I revise my statement above: the T is definitely faster than the .1S.

I've never had a 991.1 S but I did have 991.1 GTS and a 991.1 C4. I prefer my T by a lot. The RWS and torque down low along with a great shifter ( 1-4 at least) just makes it a blast to drive. It really is the sum of the parts - you definitely need to drive one to make your choice. I test drove one out of boredom one day, I really wasn't interested in one. My dealership is 10 min away and I was trying to figure out what to replace my 2018 GT3 with. My SA pushed me to try it - I was surprised - it felt smaller, more agile, quick - it reminded me of a modern version of the earlier Porsches that got me hooked on this brand.

Appreciate the insight. Problem is none of my local dealers have one so I might have to take a leap of faith on one.

Nope. Nothing awesome about the sound of the T.

On a short track with a one minute lap time. Not bad but not really close. On a typical track, the delta would likely be 5+ seconds.
