Default icarsoft por II. Oil change reset

So I finally pick one of these up, having issues with th software update, seems it wants to tell me my SD card has been removed after its 14% into the update. Did it 3 times, no the disk was not removed, no answer to my phone call so I had to send an email to support. I figuered I have the most updated version anyhow, updated 4/2018. So I decided to the car to clear the oil change msg. There is a option for software reset or manual, just out of curiosity I hit manual and from there is tells you to hold the odometer reset button down, then turn on the key, push it again until reset, really??? So did I just waste $150 if I could reset the old fashioned way like every other car, lol.

Well since I wanted to back date the reminder one year from 8/21/18, the actual day I changed the oil I exited to software reset and entered today’s date as 8/21/18 any did the reset. Pretty easy, the change oil now msg is no longer coming up. The service reminder is 8/2019. That would be 2 years from in service. Assume for break fluid.

will update about software issues when support gets back to me.

I think your new service date is 1 year from your 8/21/2018 oil change for the next oil change. I think brake fluid would alarm itself, but I could be wrong.

Are you able to reset the other service intervals as well? Is there an option to select which one to reset?

The fact that the 991 has non-dismissable service reminders in the first place is a scandal. So many things on this car are in your face and you can't get them out of your face. I like owning my car, not the other way around.

If you ordered from Amazon and it won't update, I would send it back for a refund and buy another. Sounds like yours may be defective and getting resolution thru the service dept may take a while. Mine works perfectly.

Bought mine a few years ago. There is an update on the website and I had trouble uploading it. Contacted customer service that they said the update was not that big a deal and that if my unit works, just forget about the update.

I just purchased one of these on Ebay. The seller actually updates the unit for you before shipping it so you don't have to mess with any updates.
Good communication from vendor. Worked like a charm.

Yes, you can update/reset all the service intervals with the iCarSoft Tool. I did my 4yr/40k service (because of 4 years, not 40k miles) and had to reset each of them individually. 40K, 20K, 10K, and Oil Change Reminder.

Does anyone have a step by step to reset the brake pad change on the Por II ?? I jus did a complete brake change (rotors/pads) and a oil change but for some reason the hand brake won't calibrate or reset. Do they need to be bedded first as I haven't driven the car yet since the install? The POR II is kind of confusing when it comes to the brake pad resetting. Can you also clear the oil change reminder as well ??

Any help would be appreciated

Just received my iCarsoft POR II yesterday. I have a 2019 T and last week damaged one of my O2 Sensors. CEL came on and said drivable. Plugged in the new iCarsoft POR II and cleared the CEL. Works great. Next is the Oil Service Reminder. I'll see if it can re-set that one to.
