Opinions on Porsche Platinum vs Fidelity Platinum extended warranty?

According to the Porsche dealer service manager the Fidelity warranty is the least hassle to get coverage from. I had quite a back and forth with them and supposedly this is dealer cost: My car is a 2015 911 GTS w/ 9800 miles. I got an 8 year/8k mile (it's an additional 4 years)Fidelity Platinum warranty with a $100 deductable for $2811. That is supposed to be cost and I suspect it is.

Someone told me years ago (in a galaxy far, far away...) that the best prices can be had just before your existing warranty expires; however, I cannot attest to the validity of what he said.

I got the warranty documents today. It appears that when you buy a Fidelity warranty the period is not from the date the car was first registered. It's the contract date. So my car is a 2015 911 GTS Cab, with 9800 miles. It has 8 months of factory warranty left. I bought an 8 year 80k mile Platinum warranty with $100 deductible that will expire September 2026 for $2878 which is supposed to be dealer cost. For me it's a no-brainer. The car will be over 11 years old then.

Was that the longest you could get coverage for? I have seen 10 year plans but I thought they started from the in-service date.

I think it's 8 years.
If you guys want I can reach out to the dealer and see if he wants to start selling warrantees for X number of dollars over cost. Isn't there another lead somebody mentioned that sell Fidelity?

Second MJ (Michael Jourdan)at Mossy in New Orleans. He is busy but good and just got back from vacation. Had contact with him a couple of days ago. Somehow he can get all of us a good discount on Fidelity Warranties. Have heard from many others on this Forum that they went though him.

What I read on Fidelity's web site is that Platinum coverage excludes CV joint boots.
