Default Protection for underside of Frunk?

Are most of you buying protection for underside of Frunk?
Lid liner?
I saw this thread
https://rennlist.com/forums/991/1080...d-liner-2.html

Amazon
https://www.amazon.com/Interior-Lid-Liner-991-2012-present/dp/B00HZRVGVI/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1536321434&sr=8-2&keywords=Porsche+911+trunk+lid+liner https://www.amazon.com/Interior-Lid-Liner-991-2012-present/dp/B00HZRVGVI/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1536321434&sr=8-2&keywords=Porsche+911+trunk+lid+liner

$199+ $14.49 shipping

Or direct
https://lidliner.com/collections/por...lid-liner-2012
Same $199 & shipping $???

I saw a coupon code posted from 2017
RF14 for 15% off all lid Protectors
IDK if it code is good now & if works on Amazon.

Is that the only aftermarket product to protect the frunk lid?

I don’t know if I really need it. But, I’d hate to damage my outer hood with one thoughtless mistake overloading the frunk! Especially since this will be my 1st 911.

I also saw a thread from 2014 where lid liner had a group buy for 30% off.

Do they do those GBs periodically?

I have months to wait till I take delivery.

Mine was delivered today. Apparently there is a mod that cuts a hole in the liner to allow for the factory hood secure rod to still be used. Hard to explain but, the LL covers up a hole that needs to be cut out.

I didnt know about it either. There is a yellow plastic hood pro (for lack of a better word, towards the wipers underneath the hood. It wedges itself in those large holes underneath the hood, supposedly to protect it from lowering without notice. I have no idea really..

It is to hold up the flap that covers the battery and brake fluid fill port when doing service.
( or you could just pull it out while you work).

We just returned from the supermarket with $200 of groceries in the frunk. Not even close to the max capacity. It holds a lot of stuff.

I wasn't going to get one until this past weekend when the frunk was full and I was concerned about maybe hitting a bump and having the luggage float up a few inches and dent the hood.
For $300 it was a safety feature I felt I wanted. May never need it, but try repairing an aluminum hood and repainting and then you will wish you paid the entry fee..

bigger than we expected. The only time that my frunk has been full (and I really mean full to the brim) was on our euro delivery trip. luggage for family of 4.

if we had been aware of such a product, probably would have bought this protection. but, even without it, it really was no problem at all. we just put the luggage at the bottom and the softer items (duffle bag, etc) at the top. I think it's fine for peace of mind, but really not needed.

Almost 20 years ago I put a full size battery charger (imagine one you would have bought from Sears in the 60's) in the frunk...went over train tracks and found a nice outward ding coming from inside the frunk... it happens.

I got one and so happy I have it. Easy to install and makes the frunk look more finished. These should have come with the car from the factory.

Exactly! I got one for the same reasons. Between this and the Porsche trunk liner accessory "tub", I have better peace of mind.
