Insurance Report - Went down $500
I had been with esurance for 5+ years and decided to check rates as the policy was renewing. I work in the insurance industry and did a very careful apples-to-apples comparison and ended up going with Flo -- Progressive was $500 less over 12 months.

Squeaky clean MVR

Full coverage
Add in my wife's 2017 Q7 and I'm at $739 / 6 mo with full coverage. Just a head's up in case your policy is about to expire. Progressive might be worth checking.

Progressive suddenly got far cheaper here in AZ as well compared to Geico. Stayed with Geico due to their umbrella coverage being better, but otherwise would have switched.

Thanks for the recommendation!
BTW, one thing I discovered over the years is that some companies would offer a really great teaser rate for the first period or two to get you to switch and then bump the rates substantially later, so be sure to check prices at each re-up. But I guess you know this since a re-read shows you are in the industry. During one cancellation, I even had my local agent ask me to check back with him in a year or two since he would be able to offer me new-customer rates again at that time. Never did.

I will never use Progressive Insurance because they are very politically active behind the scenes. The name "Progressive" is no mistake.

@whiteducktail I wonder if you can find and insurance company called "Luditte Insurance". How dare any company try to be progressive or innovative.
@dirbar Do you know if esurance still has their $100,000 limit?

I left Geico a few years ago for Progressive, Geico was robbing me blind they kept raising their rates on me every year.
Progressive has saved me thousands over the last 4 years, Geico rates don't even come close.

Man, I appreciate this thread. I've felt like Geico was high but haven't cross-shopped in about a year - Progressive is showing $700 less per 12 months for me! Not sure if I somehow forgot about them the last go around or what.

Having been in more than one insurance dispute with Progressive over the years - including one involving significant medical treatment - I'd caution that you get what you pay for. Never again.

Geico was also the insurance company that supplied police departments with radar and lidar guns for many years, in the hope that ore tickets written would let them jack up rates and force drivers into assigned risk pools. I wouldn't use the company's insurance if it were free.

Wait...I just heard a certain politician screaming on Twitter that "two popular Republican Congressmen" were charged by the Sessions Justice Department ahead of the mid-terms, possibly putting those seats into doubt, and we are complaining about a group with ties to Obama and Soros affiliates?
