Lime Rock Historics "Walking of Porsches" video
Decide to ride (motorcycle), not drive (P-car) up to Lime Rock Park today for their "Sunday in the Park" edition of the Labor Day Lime Rock Historics Festival.
This year, they had the world's largest gathering of vintage Bugattis...interesting but not my thing.
So I walked the track past the Alphas and Beemers and Citroens until I came upon the Porsche corral, up on the west bend of the track.
Made a little walking video of the Porsche eye candy. Apologies in advance if you can hear me moaning audibly in front of several 356s...they're so pretty, it hurts.
Hope you enjoy the cars!

I get the moaning over the 356s I'm beginning to really get the itch for one, that gray coupe is the bee's knees. A few of my thoughts on the video. I know people may not agree with me but I think the G series (impact bumper cars) are my favorite 911's, I am in my mid 50's so they are the 911s that I lusted after when I got my license. This will really make a few of you laugh, but 914s are high up on my scale too, done completely eighties style with orange paint and highly polished and paint matched Fuchs........
991, G bodied SC, 356 and 914 and maybe a 944. My crazy Porsche list.
996, 964 and even 993 (I know that will be heretical to some) are towards the bottom of my list. Some will call me crazy but that is my personal taste.
997 falls somewhere in between.
Thanks for the video, hope you didn't mind me adding my random Sunday evening thoughts.
edit: one more thought, 928s remind me of Risky Business and I really have no real need to be a captain of a U boat.

Bud...I'm almost totally with you. The 356 is the absolute top of my lust-list. Especially that dark grey one with the houndstooth seating at the 2:00 minute mark. It is perfection. Wilhelm (license plate holder), if you're on Rennlist and you ever want a buyer...DM me!
About ten seconds into the video, you can see me pause over a polar silver 993; if you turn up the audio, you can hear me mutter about "my old car." I had an almost identical '96 993. Had a front end accident with it which required changing one of the headlights, and I was checking them out to see if it was in fact my old ride (it wasn't).
But I have to agree with your heresy: I don't get the current fascination/obsession with 993s. There's something about the soft, rounded lines and smaller size that make them look like little Porsche dough ***** to me. I enjoyed the last gen of the air-cooled engine in mine, but could leave the rest...
I'd noodle a bit with your crazy Porsche list: 991...then 356...add912...and finally G bodied SC. I can take or leave the 914 (I almost prefer a Kharman Gia), and would pass on the 944 entirely. But you totally nailed my "under-loved" list.
Here are a few stills from around the track to further whet your appetite...mostly from my lust-list!

Great vid! I was there Saturday for the races and Sunday I took my 3 yr old for concours. We had a blast. The 964s in Group 7 sounded amazing and they were quick. Beautiful cars.
My white 991 shows up in the vid around 1:24.
