Thanks for posting. Was expecting much lower auction results. Also, pretty crazy hit from last year to now ($10K+). Hopefully, this will start to flatten out for the coming years.

But notice last years numbers were based off of an average of 15,900 miles....this years 40k plus...
Hey, do you have similar results for 2014 base models going back a year? Trying to see what my seller paid ;-)
Happy to PM VIN if that makes it easier? thanks a ton!
sounds about right. Looks like the average price drop is mostly due to the avg miles also going up from 16k to 33k.
Guess I did pretty good since I picked mine up about 4 mos ago for $72k and change with CPO and 25k miles. Say if the car was $65k auction price, dealer slapped a CPO on it for $2.5k or so plus a set of new tires, 40k srv and new batt for about $2k which means the dealer made about $3-4k which is very reasonable
Great data! Where do you get that, and how expensive is it to subscribe to? I’m about to put my 20,600 mile well optioned 6 speed 997.2 C2S up for sale in the Rennlist classifieds and don’t want to over/under price it.
The majority of these dealers' auction prices are for high-mileage non-CPO cars with unknown maintenance and accident histories. Many are low option cars, which many of us do not want. I personally won't get too excited about how low these these auction prices are. Mine won't fall into these categories. .

Obviously correct that they are non-CPO as they can not be, but people have an odd concept of the auctions. True, there are 1000's of rental car returns and repossessions there...but when it comes to "car-guy" cars we tend to bring the best cars there as it is the fastest way to find other car guys who will appreciate condition and options. Are people in the industry as knowledgable as rennlisters? Of course not...But rennlisters are a very small part of the market and tend to already have a car or two... To those with questions in the thread above, I will respond after the holiday weekend.
