Personally, I'd pass. Doubtful that the BMW dealership knows much about the car and even more doubtful that they've done
anything but clean it and throw it back on the lot.

If you already owned the car and had 75,000 miles on it, I'd say "great job!". I love hearing that people are actually driving their Porsches
and not leaving them in the garage.

However, knowing that you'd be getting into this car at the 75,000 mile mark......I'd look somewhere else.

Depends on the $$ and MSRP ... 75K miles alone isn't a deal breaker.

Is the car white and VIN # end in 41?

If so, I'd check CarFax as it has a rear end accident. Assuming we are talking about the same car.

Car has been driven 20K miles just in past year. The extent of the accident and how it was repaired would be the main concern here.

Get the VIN and use the Carfax to call dealers that serviced the car.

Just be financially prepared to potentially pay for some expensive repairs, and/or be ready to DIY. The 991 is a generally reliable car, but little things like COVs and window switches (just had both repaired under warranty) are known to fail, and big-ticket items like transmissions will occasionally fail.

Remember that you will be servicing/repairing used $120k car.

I wouldn't care about 75k miles as long as the price is commensurate. The car will last well past 200k miles. I'd be more concerned about a 2012.5 that had 2k miles on it. Engines need to be run routinely.

Check to see if any accidents and service history.

Well at least you won't have to worry about the break-in period!

Post a link to where the car is so we can all get a better idea of what we are talking about.

PDK or manual?
Don't bother with DME report if PDK.

Hey Lex.....why is this. Just curious as my car was purchased used and has PDK. I've wondered about the DME potential since I bought it. Is it because over-revs that could damage the engine are less of a concern with PDK?
