Bringing up an older thread, but I just did this. It took me longer setup for the un-install/re-install than to actually do the entire process.
Notes: It's more difficult to get the original lip off than expected. I had to really tug at it in the middle pretty hard to get it off (forward and down as noted above).
Start on the sides and work your way towards the middle.
Also, make sure to put the outer tabs into the existing under-body work for the sport lip before you start to push it in.
Start on one side, put the tabs in, and move across the front, putting the other side tabs in before you really give the good shove to get the middle to seat into the tabs.
All-in-all, VERY easy!

I did mine last month. Not only does it look good, it offers additional straight on bumper cover protection (even though I have front parking sensors) which is the real reason I put one on. The fact that it's a little lower is not an issue for me.

I upgraded mine to the Sport Lip and it is both easy and inexpensive to install. I believe it is about $175 from GetPorscheParts.com, so if it ever gets damage, it is not going to kill you when buying another. Takes all of 3 mins to remove a damaged Sport Lip and putting on another one.

Yes Porsche was very thoughtful in designing this!
1 - It's made out of a durable, semi-flexible material (more durable that carbon fiber or fiberglass)
2 - It's cheap to replace
3 - It's easy to replace
