Default Insurance cost

Hey guys, I live in South Florida and insurance rates are out of control down here, i currently have all my cars insured with All State but i'm thinking of getting a separate policy just for the 911 since its not my daily driver. Does anyone have any suggestions of good companies that offer good rates? my car is a 2014 Base 911.

Thanks to all in advance

I had seen that thread before but since insurance is so specific to city and state i wanted to know what south Floridians were paying.

In Lake Mary FL, I'm insured with AAA thru their Auto Club Insurance Co. of Florida. Just traded a nice 2015 C2S for a brand new 2017 C2S ENDURANCE RACING EDITION, and installed the X51 Power Kit. Insurance on the old one was about $950/yr. Of course the new one is more expensive and newer, and i also opted for their 5 year Repair or Replace policy that buys me a brand new comparable Porsche if trashed at anytime within 5 years. The new policy on my new 911 is about $1350/yr. This includes a package discount for policy bundled with wifey's RX350 (the "beater") and our home.

My 911s are garage queens used for sunny day blasts and car events, and I'm retired. So about 3500 pleasure miles/yr. Wifey and i carry maximum liability coverages, $500 deductibles, $100,000 uninsured, and have clean records and high credit scores.

Get uninsured motorist coverage limit equal to your liability limit.

You know what's funny ?
My wife's Q7 costs 60% more than the 991 to insure (and is worth less $)
My beater E-golf costs 50% more than the 911 to insure (and it worth <1/2)
My 991 is the cheapest car on my insurance !

Insurance is a weird business !

I pay $320 for 6 mos on my 2012.5 991S $500k/700k with a $500 deductible, but that's with 4 other vehicles on the policy. I actually pay more on for my 2017 Honda Clarity EV than my Porsche for insurance.......

(my honda run about $460 for 6 mos, same coverage)

Age
Driving record
Credit score
Claim history

Just to name a few. A lot factors into your premium. You can't compare yourself to others, until you have the whole picture.

Give Heacock a call. I've used them and Leland West. Both have good collector car policies.

For a great low rate that you can get online, go to The General and save some time.

or several different Independent agents. Try AAA also. They were the lowest for me.
