Trying to get to the cigarette plug in the passenger foot well and cannot figure out how to remove this remaining piece. Its the one that the lighter is connected to. Anyone? THX

You are a good man!! I did it and ran a USB ribbon cable up the side of the console for a stealth iPhone install. TY!!

Bought the flat cables on Amazon, something like $15 for 2. I didnt need 3 feet long (1m) but I figured better too long than too short and didnt know how I would route them beneath the side panel.
Being flat it was able to wedge between the side of the console and the side panel with no problem. I even have the ability to push or pull the cable up or down to add or reduce length.
I plan on putting a piece of velcro on the cable tip and side of the phone mount to keep it secure when not in use, see the illustration using my finger holding it in place to get an idea.
