Exclamation Best Coilover kit for Non-PASM 991.1?

I have ~70k miles on my 991.1 C2 and the shocks feel a bit tired since I put the H&R springs on. It looks like Bilstein B16 (PSS10) and KW V3s are my choices. The car is my daily and will rarely see track duty. I'm looking for a comfortable ride.

Your thoughts are much appreciated.

Thanks!

-Anthony

Ohlins are some of the best for a passive suspension setup.

The drop that the H&R gave me is just perfect. Maybe I do a set of Bilstein B6 artist instead?

Depends upon what you’re using the car for, but I’ve researched this and my vote is for Öhlins Road and track. I track my car but need it comfortable enough for weekends. Installing ohlins within the next month or two.

The car is my daily so street comfort is the main concern.

I pulled the trigger on Ohlins Road and Track. Install on Monday, August 27, 2018. I will report back after install, but I track my car religiously and use it occasionally on weekends. My opinion, from what I have seen, is that all coilovers wil be stiffer than stock because the springs are stiffer than stock. If comfort is your main concern, I would install a set of Eibach springs and call it a day. As long as your shocks are in good condition, Eibach will be your best bet. H&Rs drop the car too low, in my opinion, and every millimeter counts for shock travel. Some believe that Eibach ride better than stock because they are, initially, softer. I can confirm this from install on a base 997 Carrera without PASM. The ride only became stiffer after i replaced the OEM Bilstein B4 shocks with Bilstein B6. Of course, ride is subjective. If I had a dedicated track car, I would install Eibach on my Base 991 (without PASM) with a set of stiffer antiroll bars, but my 991 is my track car so I need it stiffer with the ability to soften it for weekends and drives to and from the track.

Koni or Bilstein. No need for coilovers if a DD.

You could also argue no need for a 911 as a DD

You, but you could just get stock Dampers and get a KW HAS kit if you just want height adjustability and stock like ride quality.

From my experience, bilstein won’t give enough drop especially if you like the h&r.
So I prefer kw instead. I know it costs but HAS system is amazing.
