So my new Carrera T just left European waters. I imagine these next 2 weeks (I hope 2 weeks) will be so long. I can't wait. I sold the 991.1 in May, so no 911 for the last 3 months…

Sebastian at North Olmsted has been great thru the whole process. Fortunately, the drive back to Chicago will almost complete the break-in.

quick question....Have most the recent 911s been coming on Pirelli or Michelin?

Forget the ship, pray for a responsive carrier at the destination port. I was religiously tracking my T across the ocean and it arrived perfectly on time to the Port of Houston. I was really excited, since my last P car was released from the port and arrived at the dealership within 24 hours. I was expecting the same this time around. After 5 days waiting for the car to make the 13 mile delivery from the port to the dealership, I started calling around. I even got the number for VW Port Operations in Houston, which manages the depot at the port for the whole VW Group, and they assured me that they had released the car to Reliable Carriers that same day. Well, Reliable turned out to be anything but. I still had to wait an additional FIVE more excruciatingly days for the car to arrive at the dealer.

In the end, all was well, but I never understood why it would take 10 days to release and deliver the car within 13 miles.

congrats. When did the T arrive at the port? Curious how long it sat waiting for a ship.

The build sheet on my 2018 Carrera T with 7/4/2018 production date shows: Tyre type - Michelin. Northern Highway hits shore today in San Diego.

Do you know how long ago your ship was in Panama Canal? I believe 2 other rennlisters & I have cars on a ship that is in Panama Canal now. My dealer is Hoehn, so port will be San Diego hopefully v soon!

Don't know when the Northern Highway was in the Panama Canal because I didn't purchase the Carrera T until 10-days ago, when the ship was already past the Canal. However, you can track your ship's progress at the following website if you know your ship's name: https://www.marinetraffic.com

Looks like your ship is the Altair Leader due to arrive in SD on 8/19. You can track it on MarineTraffic. The ETA listed is probably UTC time.

Got to port on 31 Jul and was on the boat leaving on the 8th. There was a boat in port that left on the 31st, but same day was not likely. I got on the next boat.
