Definitely replace that ASAP. If it's any consolation, they're pretty close to needing replacement anyway.

I believe Lex was recommending shaving to the nearest 1/32 measurement. If rears only had 1/32 remaining, I think everybody would recommend replacing both.

No. You don't shave down to 1/32. You need to measure the remaining tire in 32s or mm. And then order a matching shaved tire.

But first:

What is the DOT date code on the remaining tire?

Are they 295 or 305?

If the tires are near 5 years old, buy two new ones for the rear.

Jim, I bumped a tire thread for you. If your tires are near 5 years old and 295 just buy two of these and be done.

Hi again Lex. Tires were made 7/15. They are 305s. Pretty close if not to the wear bars, so I guess I'll just replace. One more set of P zeros then probably Michelins when I replace all four.
