Mine was similar but mine also made this hissing noise,

I took my car to the dealer and they said they found the leak and repaired it

Given that outcome, I'd be pretty certain that freeze-up was the culprit (as described in my post #5 above: https://rennlist.com/forums/991/1087...l#post15195499).

Like arter said a couple of posts ago... If you feel it warming up again on a long trip, just switch to recirculation mode before it freezes up completely and it should dry the coils back out after a while.

Okay, yeah, I think it is freezing up. The east coast has been a hot stew all summer long. Thanks all for the tips.

I guess this was a common issue on the Macan. A service advisory went out on them to advise customers that they should turn on the A/C on "recirculating". I was told it was fixed in later models. This was the first case that had been reported to them on the 911, but they noted that most don't take their cars on long trips.

I noticed that the center vent on top of the instrument panel was blowing warmer, especially the right side. Yesterday, it seemed to work better. Today, back to being so so. Tried coming out of auto mode, turning it on and off, disabling the center vent, going re-circulate, etc. Going to call it in for an appointment under CPO. I had a changeover valve replaced about 18 months ago when heat stopped working.
Just got back. Freon was low. They serviced it and I am back to ice cold air! It's the little things.

My also is a 14, doing exact same thing, hot air on passenger side, did they tell you why is low?

Is it possible to add Freon by yourself?

yes, the bottle with the hose kit, literally buys product off the shelf. Walmart, AutoZone, major retailer

keep the hose kit thou, you can buy a refill can as well.

My '18 991.2 lost cooling on the passenger side a couple of years ago. Took it to the dealer. Low on coolant (Freon??). They topped off coolant and all was well...for a couple of months. The same problem returned. Dealer kept it for a day looking for leaks. No luck. Topped off again. All was well for a couple of months, then the same problem returned. Back to the dealer. This time they kept it for a couple of days. They finally located the leak. It was the Schrader valve where you introduce the coolant into the system. Replaced the part, purged the system and refilled coolant. Two years later...still blowing COLD.

Moral of the story: If you're running low on coolant, you have a leak. Just refilling will only delay the inevitable...finding and fixing the leak.

good point, Let me observed my issue, hoping the material they said will seal it self in the pipe.

I rarely drive my 911.1 and whenever I do, I don't turn it on, so, I believed if you don't use it, you lose it theory....
