Just joined this amazing club last night, trading in my Audi S7 for a CPO 2017 C4S in Lava Orange. Pretty excited about learning all I can about this car, and hope to have her for years to come. It’s a daily driver for me, and had a great spec of options that were important to me (front axle lift, sport package, etc) but very new to me, so not too much to comment on, except compared to the Audi, comparing the S-Tronic to the PDK, they may be both dual clutch, but there is no comparison between the two. The PDK is so smooth (although I’ve yet to go sport-plus).
Everything about this car car so far has been fantastic.. I’m sure I’ll be posting more questions, comments.. but wow..
Been trying to figure out why I was not and am not crazy about Lava on the 991.1 GT3 RS, but looooove it on 991.2 Carrera variants. Might have something to do with the spare lines and simplicity of the Carreras vs the wild, busy aggressive lines and black accents on the RS—which I suspect I'd like with a different orange. The opposite holds true with Ultraviolet, which I love on the RS but don't like on other models. Go figure.

Thanks.. I appreciate how color is an extremely personal opinion, but it really appealed to me, and was a key factor in the wife’s approval! I am sure that many people might not pull the trigger on a Lava Orange car, but I like it. It’s also interesting how it looks different in different light. I took pictures with the iPhone using “live” settings and event the phone has a hard time figuring out what shade to display.
Congrats sir. Your photo looks like Gaurds Red. Are you sure it's Lava Orange?
Many smart phone cameras have trouble reproducing saturated oranges and reds well.
OP, very nice and a great happy-owner smile you have there! I saw a Lava Orange at the dealership a while back and thought it looked great! Sometimes I wish I was more gutsy with my own color choices.
