My 991.2 does this and so did both of prior Macans. Also have noticed it on Porsche loaners. Sometimes two chirps, sometimes one chirp, sometimes no chirps but always locks. It must be a Porsche locking/alarm module issue
Add me to the list. Brand new 2019 991.2 GTS Coupe. Entry and Drive. Random one chirp v. two chirps when touching door handle sensor to lock.
Was playing around this afternoon and discovered a patter...
Using the key fob to lock the car yielded a consistent 1-chirp.
Using the door handle Porsche entry yielded a consistent 2-chirps.
For me it was the opposite. If I use the door sensor to lock the vehicle, I hear one chirp but there are two flashes of the parking/tail lights which means that the alarm and interior surveillance feature are both activated. However, if I use the key fob to lock the vehicle, I get two audible chirps along with the two flashes of the parking/tail lights.
