Sounds like a great car! Gotta love the cost to benefit of the carbon fiber bits haha

Yep, the carbon fiber bits added a lot to the case. If it was my build, I would have omitted most/all of them. Don’t get me wrong....they will look great. However, they don’t justify the cost. Yet, I bough it anyway (so, I guess it did justify the cost)

Just an update (not that anyone cares, but I like talking to myself).

Today was a big day for me.

My 2016 BMW i8 divorce is complete. Just got the notice from BMW that my vehicle assumption was completed.
Then, within the same hour, I received notice that my Carrera 4 GTS just arrived at the port. So, I could potentially
have it by the end of the week.

The BMW i8 was nice, but.....come on. Better things await!

Super exciting....if your car is in fact on the Viking Queen(from Emden) it is lurking just offshore in Houston. My car was on the Viking Queen offloaded in Halifax early last week. My SA emailed me and said they weren't able to track it!! ugh. This is the replacement for one destroyed on the assembly line in April. I'm hoping this is just a glitch and my car is somewhere on the way to the West Coast.

Post some pics of the car when you get it!

can you please enlighten me on the stumble? All 991s are fast amazing cars. No stumbling around for the 911.

Apparently, there was a known engine issue with the 991.1. I just happened to use the word "stumble" (not referring to the engine at all).
Someone else would need to explain the "stumble" issue with the previous models.

thanks. I just read about it in another thread. Apparently a small percentage of 991.1 have a small hesitation in the engine during acceleration in the 2500 RPM range. I I have not noticed it in my 991.1
People have tried to fix it with mixed results by doing different things to the engine including throttle adjustments and aftermarket tunes.

She's (the BMW) packed up and gone. The GTS is one the 18-wheeler and headed to Dallas right now. I don't even have the car yet and I'm already thinking about headers and sport cats. What really stinks is the fact that I have no vehicle until the Porsche arrives. The driveshaft on my Jeep exploded on the highway last week, taking the transfer case with it.

I apologize for any over-posting that I may be doing. I'm just genuinely excited to be getting into the Porsche family.
I've put in enough track time with them, so I'm excited to finally have one.

Dealer sent me the photos of my car today. Just arrived in Plano, Texas (from Houston).

It's a bit dirty, but I would take it with a full layer of mud.

Congrats! I also came to the Porsche family from BMW M3s and M4 back in 2015 to a similar optioned 991.1 GTS. Three years have passed already and I am still enjoying the car like the first day I drove it. The only thing I regret was having to pay $650 for the same floor matts you are getting.

Thanks. I actually just picked it up yesterday.

Absolutely love it. Rain forecasted early this week (of course it would....we've been in a drought).
Normally, I wouldn't care about rain at all, but I live in the country and the road to my house is dirt and rock.
So, I'll be driving the Jeep until it clears up and dries.

Do you happen to have the TechArt front spoiler with that or just the rear wing? I only ask, because I'm curious to see if the front is required in order to maintain aero balance with the rear.

It appears the only performance option you did not get was the PDCC. If you've never had it, you will not miss it but it is great to have. I think you will find it to be an amazing performance car but still comfortable for a street driving. Enjoy the ride.

You'll really enjoy it. I have a fairly similar build in my Targa GTS. The only thing that gets me is thinking I spent $160 for an aluminum look gas cap. LOL

Giggle.....yep! Would have never put that in, if it was my spec. However, it is what it is.
