Default Broken Window Switch

Attempted to raise driver window up yesterday and plastic window switch popped out of its housing. Attempted to snap back into place but now window doesn't come up or down. Doesn't appear to have snapped off any small tabs on switch, but hard to see down into the housing. Common problem? Easy fix? Have to replace the whole window switch housing? Appreciate input...thanks.

Check out my recent thread on this, as it recently happened to me. Yes, have to replace the whole window switch housing. About a $130 part. In the meantime if you get the two tabs of the switch snapped into the right place it'll work. When you pull up on it you gotta keep pressure on the hinge side of the switch so it doesn't pop out.

Seems to be an unfortunately common issue. I purchased a used switch off eBay and just popped the new switch tab in without doing a full replacement. Stays in pretty well but a full replacement would be better.

Super common, I just ended up replacing mine, takes about 15 minutes to swap out. Taking the door card out makes it a TON easier.

Garrett, this was very helpful.

One note however, the rectangular switch frame that’s shaped like a picture frame, from behind you can use a small screwdriver to pop this off the top. Then you can place the switch, and then put the window frame back on top. Photo attached I pulled from YouTube. This made it much easier than popping the switch back in with the window frame piece still attached.
