Default Bought a 2015 991.1 GTS , need input on service

Si I just got delivered my 2015 991.1 gts (12K miles), There are no service records to speak of so I'm wondering what would you guys do in terms on service to the car? I would prefer not to bring it to dealer as it's really just a rip off. Any Ideas?

Congrats on your new car. I recommend just change oil and filter and flush the brake fluid. Also visual inspection for belt and so on. With such low miles you'll be ok without replacing spark plug for now.

No CarFax??

If buying a car like this, get used to Porsche dealer service?

Where did you buy it??

Probably needs the Porsche recommended 10K service. Bite the bullet and give the car proper service. Don't expect Honda service pricing.

Here is a decent guide one dealer published.... prices vary by dealer and part of the country.

Why get used to dealer service if they charge more than shops with master mechanics? I'd rather save money for the tires. And I'm not expecting Honda prices.

Oil and filter, brake flush, and A/C filters and you're done!

I agree with others. Fresh oil, brake fluid, both cabin filters. Done. We call this "zeroing out the maintenance schedule". Wise to do on a used car with no service history. Next year is your bigger 4 year/40K Service, to include your engine air filters and spark plugs. Enjoy your new car!

Three year old car? I might even do the 20k/2 year service instead and start fresh, especially if I couldn't verify if any service had been done before..

I got my 2014 C4s about a month ago, and as soon as I got mine, I went through anything wrong (CPOed) and make sure it is taken care.. ( they replaced A/C hose and Steering wheel (it was pealing) ) and got 40k / 4 year service done..

My car had some history of maintenance such as 20k service and brake fluid change, but I decided to do any service asap.. It cost me about 1800 with tax but I feel much more secure and happy..

I would try to research the issue through the Carfax. See where the car lived and then call porsche shops/dealers in that area with VIN to see if they have any history. As the listed owner most shops will give you the info and you may save some $$$ plus you have established the history. Most people who buy this level of car are going to have serviced at a dealer or at least an established indy shop.

Don't forget that the car "remembers" when the last oil service was (or at least when someone last reset the reminder). If you decide to wait, it will remind you when either one year or 10k miles is getting close and will continue to nag you until it is done. That doesn't help with anything like brake fluid flush though.

But yeah, I agree with the others that if you aren't able to determine the services via CarFax or some other method it might provide some piece of mind to go ahead and just do it.
