A sweet, musically visceral naturally aspirated GT3 engine, of course.

Wait! What? I thought you're racing.

They are totally different cars, anyone who has driven a GT3 knows that. That said, I feel like my 991.2 GTS feels extremely capable, and I love it. But I'm also getting a 991.2 GT3 in addition to the GTS, because it's a completely different experience. They really aren't similar cars at all.

But despite what you think they ARE two very different cars. Because lap time is only one small part of the equation. You can blow them both away in a Turbo S but that too is a completely different car.

You sure are right about tires though. Still two completely different cars, but mount some Hoosiers and any track or twisty road your friend won't stand a chance. Assuming you do know how to drive. Long odds. Benefit of the doubt.

Hahaha...Thanks Chuck for that refreshing bit of the truth. You need driving skills which can only be acquired through proper instruction and time in the car on the track. Then you need better tires.

Agreed the GT3 is more hardcore and racer in feel .

Very different power delivery also the torque of the GTS is awesome but the GT3 you have you ring its neck to go

I believe all that you need is some GT3 suspension bits, a very mild tune and some better tires. That should set you up nicely.. Maybe throw in a larger wing (techart II) for better aero/high speed cornering.
I agree w this sentiment. People get mad, especially when they start to feel like they spent their money foolishly. If you are mad about someone tuning their car to be as good or better than yours, just tune yours

Why does OP's avatar say 4 point 0. Should be 3.0tt. Embrace what you have. You paid a lot of money and it is a great car. One thing I doubt you could replicate on any turbo engine is the sound of a 4.0 at 9K RPM and this is certainly part of the GT3 'experience'.

Warning...I’m going to troll here...

If you want to track...buy a Radical, or a GT3...but the Radical is what you really want.

If you want to to sports-car...buy a base porsche boxster or 911 and learn to hammer it.

discuss.

cheers!

Just get “918 Spyder” lettering and put it on the back. Everyone will know you’re faster than a GT3 then!

Astonishingly enough, a new GT3 RS just turned a 1 second faster ring time than the 918 Spyder. Unreal for an N/A flat six.

I had a 991.2 GTS with PDCC, SPASM, PDK and 18ways. I now have a 991.2 GT3 with MT and LWB. Took both to the track and drove both on the street. The GTS is an amazing car but it's no where near what the GT3 feels like when you really drive it.

Another data point. The girlfriend loved the soft comfortable feel of the GTS but, the sound of reving out in 3rd at +8000RPM (especially in a tunnel) in the GT3 makes her giggle and lose her sh*t.

Not sure how much you'd have to mod the GTS to get the same panty dropping and grin enducing experience 😀

I can't even read this entire thread. What I find funny is everyone talks about how fast, and how well car 'A' handles compared to car 'B'. They talk about which performs better, faster, brakes etc. etc... but then they say they would never track their car.

I see ads for cars, never tracked, never driven in the rain. I was at the track the other day and could not stop smiling, I was tracking my car on a rainy day.

GTS, GT3, it does not matter, they both will out perform more than 95% of the drivers in this forum.

Oh yeah, toss in the C4S. With the power kit its basically a GTS.

Full disclosure, I have never owned a Porsche, I just ordered and wont get it until beginning of Nov. I will drive it all you around. I will drive in rain and snow, and I will absolutely take it the track. I won't take it to cars and coffee.

Yeah absolutely - I firmly believe that my C4S is faster than all GT3s, actually pretty much all cars.

As much as I hear where the Rennlist consensus reaction is coming from, the unavailability of the GT3 at MSRP kind of makes GT3-ish GTS builds inevitable.

I'd focus on suspension. Just needs the suspension bits to be able to run a GT3-like alignment and RComp tires.
