Just finished my oil change yesterday and am wondering what others' experiences are with amount of oil being used. Have done 3 oil changes on my GTS and I am averaging 8.5 quarts of oil. I am thinking from past posts that the average is about 8, so it appears that I am above the average. How much oil are you putting in your car when you do your oil change?

I give my dealership 8 quarts of Mobil 5W50 and the car comes back with about 1-2 bars down from the full mark.

7 quarts go into my engine with filter and oil change.

Sounds right to me.

I stop at 8 and then top off the next time out once the car starts to read the level.

Mobil 1 here comes in 4L containers, 2 full containers went in with the last oil change. 4L = 8.45351 quarts and I am one bar down from full.

Same, I always pour about 8.5 qt to get full or near full. 16 gts.

8.5 Qts puts me one bar short of all bars full. I reverse my car onto ramps, and I think this might drain a little extra oil from the pan since the drain is toward the front of the pan.

Dealer tech tells me to drain the oil for an hour, if you can, takes 8.4 quarts if I remember correctly
Also thinking of changing my own oil in between dealer oil changes, seems to be a simple job

Good Catch! Quarts would be the correction.

When the oil is below 200 degrees I get two bars from full, once the oil gets hotter I get one bar from full.

have done 2 oil changes on my .1 GTS, 7.4 and 7.6 Qts so far

I have a lift in the garage and the car is level, dont know if those lifting the rear only have different results.

I add 8 quarts, then adjust. It's never been above 9 quarts. '18 GTS
